As part of our efforts to manage our operations in a sustainable way we offer our customers certified products. Thanks to our Chain-of-Custody certifications we can guarantee that our raw material originates from sustainably managed sources that are certified according to FSC or PEFC.
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)
was founded in 1993 on the initiative from timber users, traders and representatives of environmental and human-rights organizations. FSC promotes an ecological, social and economically responsible management of the world’s forests.
The FSC Chain-of-Custody certification provides a way to follow the origin of the raw material to the manufactured product. This enables consumers and companies to make responsible purchases.
The FSC Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification enables Arctic Paper Grycksbo to:
- determine and control the origin of FSC-certified material
- show our customers that we comply with the FSC standard for company evaluation of FSC controlled wood
- use the FSC trademark for labelling of our FSC-products
PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes)
is a global system that promotes sustainable forest management - environmentally, socially beneficial and economically viable management of forests for present and future generations - through independent third party forest certification.
The PEFC Chain-of-Custody (CoC) certification enables Arctic Paper Grycksbo to provide our customers with information about the origin of the raw material. The CoC certification also enables us to obtain a license for labelling our PEFC-products.
Arctic Paper Grycksbo AB is certified under FSC CoC since 2006 and PEFC CoC since 2008.
Both systems use the volume credit method; the incoming volume of certified raw material is transferred into an outgoing volume of certified paper product.
The volume credit account is calculated during the last 12 months rolling average.
Both systems are continuously audited by third party auditors.
