G-Print approved in HP Indigo certification

HP Indigo, the world’s leading and fastest growing manufacturer of digital printing equipment tested G-Print and G-Print Smooth, rating both “best-performing paper”. The products were tested for printing in the HP Indigo 5500, 5000 and 5030 models. Specifically, the substances tested and approved are G-Print 100, 115, 130 170, 200 and 250 g/m2, and G-Print Smooth 100, 115, 130 and 250 g/m2.

Paper performance is graded using a star system where three stars is the best result, denoting “best-performing paper”, two stars stand for “recommended paper” and one star just means “good paper”.

Performance is evaluated in three aspects: runnability (smooth transport through the machine), fixing (ink-paper interaction) and blanket compatibility (paper influence on blankets). G-Print and G-Print Smooth were evaluated best-performing paper (3 stars) on runnability and fixing, and rated recommended paper (2 stars) on blanket compatibility.

HP Indigo, as well as other OEMs, has a policy of testing paper for approval. Information about paper compatibility allows OEMs to help their customers make the most of their machines in terms of smooth operation, print results and production economy.
