PEFC and FSC certification

Grycksbo Paper, manufacturer of well-known coated papers G-Print and G-Print Smooth, are now not only certified according to FSC, but also in accordance with PEFC regulations. This demonstrates the company’s commitment to its “No one greener” vision.

In order to be certified according to FSC and PEFC standards, Grycksbo Paper has introduced approved traceability systems to monitor and document its internal flow of pulp. This guarantees that deliveries of paper are certified according to the relevant standards and sourced from sustainable forests.

“Grycksbo Paper has high environmental standards so it is logical that customers who want to buy certified papers should be able to buy them from us,” says Anders Nygårds, Development and Environmental Manager at Grycksbo Paper. “We have an ambitious 39 step environmental programme in place, which will take us towards our vision. The PEFC certification is yet another step that has been taken. For those who are interested, the development process can be followed on our web site www.grycksbopaper.com.

Anders Nygårds continues “For customers such as paper merchants and printers, our certifications mean that provided they have their own traceability systems in place and certified, they can label their printed and converted products and get an advantage in the market”.

“It is important that the customers can buy certified papers according to their own preferences,” says Marcus Westdahl, Sales and Marketing Director at Grycksbo Paper. “As paper manufacturers it is important that the pulp we buy is manufactured from wood from sustainably managed forests. We support both FSC and PEFC certifications and let the customers make their own choices.”

Grycksbo Paper has held the environmental management system certified in accordance with EMAS standards since 1997. Therefore, an EMAS report, covering the mill’s environmental development, the emission levels, the environmental targets as well as their outcome, is published annually.
